Extremely playful and friendly, our Joanie simply loves life! She is instantly friends with everyone she meets, humans and dogs alike. Joanie came to SoCo Rescue after being found listed on Craig's list as a 'free dog'. Not finding anyone to take this puppy, her former owner was going to simply drop her off at the local high kill shelter. Fearful that she would end up in the wrong hands or euthanized, a concerned young lady asked us to take her in and we were more than happy to do so. Joanie also carries another distinction, in that she was named after a former SoCo supporter who passed away right before. Mrs. Joan Mastrogiovanni loved dogs and fully supported SoCo Rescue. Naming this very wonderful puppy after her is our way of honoring of honoring the memory of Mrs. Joan. Joanie has received all of her first year vaccinations, has been wormed and treated, as a precautionary measure, against all known parasites. She will need to be spay once she reaches the age of 6 months, a requirement to adopt her and will also come with a micro-chip upon her adoption.
